I recently finished the Shiva Triology By Amish Tripathy and was left wanting more of Indian mythology.
Some digging brought me to The Krishna Key by Ashwin Sanghi. I has already read his first book, The Rozabal Line and found really good. I don't usually buy books, because a soft copy on my Kindle is good enough for me to read and very portable.
But just for a change I bought two books from Flipkart, The Krishna Key and Chanakya's Chant, both by Ashwin Sanghi.
I have already finished The Krishna Key (in just 2 days :)) The book is really gripping initially but the end didn't go down too well with me.
I am still reading Chanakya's Chant, the story is totally political, and understanding politics is something I am really bad at. Also it has a plethora of characters which also makes understanding the story a bit difficult for me.
The books I received were neatly packed, brand new and good quality. Impeccable Flipkart service as always and I got two cute bookmarks as well.

One package is of the novels and the other package was a Thomas book for my son, but I did not get a chance to take a picture of it, because he snatched it from me as soon as I opened the parcel and he won't allow anyone to touch it. He has been sleeping with it for the past 2 days and it has already started to look old.

After a lot of searching on the internet and on the Seagate website I was finally able to register the complaint online. And the next step was to deliver the crashed HDD to the nearest collection center. I called one and they said that they will come to my home to collect it.
Nothing happened. I again called a couple of days later and then they said that they will not come to collect. I will have to send it to them. Since I don't exactly live in a city, it will become a full day program to go to center to drop off the HDD. So it kept waiting in my drawer. 2 months later I was finally able to drop it off at the center in Hyderabad. And 2 weeks later I got a refurbished HDD. Same type same model. No questions asked. I appreciate the service from Seagate. Only if the online complaint system would have been easier. Anyways, I had already purchased a WD HDD by then, So this one is a spare. I will take care not to put any important data in it. ;)

Latest Update: My cute little hard disk crashed a couple of days ago :(
I lost a lot of data but luckily all my family photographs have multiple backups.
Now I am struggling with Seagate ppl to get a replacement.

I was planning to buy an external Hard Disk to store my ever increasing data, mostly my pictures and videos. I was managing with my very old Seagate 320 GB HDD which has served me well for over 5 years.
I have been carrying this HDD in my bag everyday to work since last 5 years. And there have been many incidents when my bag tumbled down from the desk or it had been exposed to extreme heat and rain. But still my faithful HDD serves me everyday without even a single problem.
But my data cannot stop increasing and I was worried about a backup disk, so I bought a 1 TB Seagate HDD from Flipkart. I paid somewhere near 6000, a bit cheaper ones were also available at Flipkart but when it comes to data, nothing can be compared to Seagate.
Here's a picture of my new 1TB HDD sitting pretty ready to be used.
The package from Flipkart was done very well. Lots of protection for the cute little thing. This one is even sleeker than my old 320 GB HDD.
And the first thing I did was to format it to NTFS, it really increases the speed. This one comes with USB 3.0

My Nail Art
Hey all,
I've been collecting nail paints and seeing a lot of nail arts and I tried to do some of my own :)
The first one is pretty basic. A transparent base coat and some peach colored glitter at the ends.
I bought the glitter at a local store. An unlabeled bottle.
Here's another one. This one can turn out really good if you have a dotting tool, other wise the rounded end of a toothpick will do just fine. But in my case I used none and created a messy design. :) I love the color combination though.

I got another shocker this week when I tried to place an order with Purplle.com.
These guys have too increased their free shipping limit from 500 to 700 !!!!
C'mon Purplle people we are very unhappy.
But still I shopped and this time my order took a week to be processed ! The reason the Purplle people gave me "product unavailability". Seriously guys if the product was not available at your warehouse why didn't you showed it as "out of stock" on your site.
So because Purplle team is kinda lazy in updating their website, people like me book OFS items and wait and wait and wait....
Ok so one of the nailpaint I ordered (that I really wanted wanted wanted) was not available with them and they offered me to pick some other item of the same value so that my order can be shipped on time. But the stubborn me refused to change the order because I wanted the orange nail paint and I told them I am ready to wait. So after eight days of waiting I finally got my package the same I ordered. :P

So I bought some items from medplusbeauty.com. And here are the unboxing pics
A whole lot of goodies..:)
First is a Vega square tip tweezer. I lost mine and so here's another.
This little thing is called a gel cushion. I desperately needed it for one of my high heels that give me a lot of pain. These can be stuck on the base of any sandals and they prevent your feet from slipping out from the front. Also they provide great cushioning and comfort. Dr. Scholl is a more popular brand for foot comfort, but Foot Favorites is from Faces and cost less. Please ignore the soap, I was falling short 10 Rs from the free shipping limit :) The nail paint is Street Wear Bubble Gum pink. I really liked the shade when I saw it but the real thing is not as appealing. The color is really light. The picture on the site showed a bit darker shade. It's nothing like bubblegum :( It's more like a silver color with a pink tint. I will post the pics of this shade later.
Faces eyeshadow pack. It has four different shades. The first one is a pale pink, second one is a bit darker, the third shade is light purple and last one is dark purple (almost black). I love buying palettes because you get more colors to play with.
And this is the only thing for which I started shopping from Medplusbeauty :). Since my job keeps me remote places, getting small things like your kids favourite toothpaste becomes a difficult task. Earlier I used to buy 2-3 tubes whenever I found them available in nearby stores, but now online shopping has made things pretty easy for me.

Pearl Shopping @ Hyderabad
Hey all,
I was in Hyderabad recently and I went pearl shopping.
Hyderabad is famous for its pearls and I decided to indulge. I bought a set for my mom after a lot of bargaining (Yes! bargaining is a must while shopping for pearls) I finally agreed on paying 2600 INR.
And yes I am happy with the purchase. A perfect gift for my mom
